You are happy, right?
Something that I always appreciate in a good video game is good voice acting, as it helps to enhance the experience and flesh out the characters more. It was very much something that I wanted to include in my first game, The Many Deaths of Lily Kosen, but ultimately decided not to as the rest of the game development process was already fairly involved. Things are a bit different for my upcoming game, Artificial Nexus - the scope of the game has been planned to include voice acting, and so I'm pleased to announce that the people who will be lending their talents to it have been found!
The title of this post kind of gives it away, huh?
For the role of Susan, our amnesiac protagonist with an unknown past, the talented Bree Frankel has been cast! They’ve got a wide vocal range which myself and the rest of the team felt matched what we were looking for in Susan, and we feel very lucky to have snagged them.
Susan’s dependable ally, Hank, will be portrayed by the actor Shaun Mendum. In a sea of really strong auditions for the role, Shaun managed to stand out and bring a very strong performance, which we had nothing but positive things to say about.
We’re all very excited to work alongside them both, and hope to have something featuring their voices to share soon! Once again we thank everyone who submitted an audition for either role - while we’re very pleased with our choices, it was agonising to assess the auditions with the knowledge that we could only choose one person per role. Many strong auditions came through, and to everyone who applied we wish the best of luck for the future.
