Don't lose your way
Hello, and welcome back to our regularly scheduled monthly devlog! If you’re new here, don’t be confused: although this is titled the September devlog, it’s actually going to be discussing what Too Many Teeth Studios has been up to over the last month, August. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
The big thing that happened in August is, of course, that we finally announced our newest game: BLACKMIND: Psychic Social Simulator. (Let me tell you, it’s a big relief to be able to write about it openly and get it off my chest). If you haven’t seen anything about it, BLACKMIND is a game where you have to use your psychic abilities to find and stop a serial killer. The Steam page is available to wishlist the game, and there’s also a playable demo on Steam or itch.io. If you do play through the demo, please make sure to fill out the feedback form at the end of the game – every bit helps!
Speaking of feedback and the demo, while initial responses have been positive, the biggest hurdle for most people is finding the right places in the game to perform a mind read action. Rest assured that we’re aware of this, and while the demo is intentionally set up so that you can brute force your way through it if necessary, we’re working on an update to give players some better hints for what to do. Your patience is appreciated while we work on things!
Other than releasing the demo for BLACKMIND, the other big thing that we’re working on is the script for the main game. While the story of the game and all of its branches have been plotted out for a while now, the actual scenes have to be written up and translated into something that players will eventually be able to play through. It’s difficult to say how far through the process things are as scenes may be dropped, heavily changed, or added throughout the process, but so far there’s a good momentum to the progress.
Alright, that’s just about it for this month – it was probably the busiest month all year, and that’ll probably still hold true at the end of the year! If you have any questions or thoughts on BLACKMIND – or any of our other games – and would like to share them, please feel free to message us via the contact page or on Discord. Otherwise, see you in 30!
