Don't lose your way
As of the time of writing this, it's been a bit over a month since Artificial Nexus released, on both Steam and Itch.io. The development of the game was a fairly long undertaking - initial work on the game first began in September 2023, so the whole process has been a bit over a year and a half of work (or two years, if you want to round up to when initial notes and planning were first being jotted down).
With that in mind, the month just gone by has intentionally been a quiet one - I've been taking a break now that the game has come out. There's no point in burning myself out and jumping to a new project right away, and the state of Artificial Nexus is pretty stable right now. From what I've seen there aren't any serious bugs or issues with the game, so I'm pleased to keep it as it is (and if you disagree, please, let me know - there's a contact form on the website, and we have a Discord with threads specifically for bug reporting!)
That being said, while it hasn't been necessary to update Artificial Nexus, there's still been a few related things that have happened in May:
Otherwise, as mentioned this has mostly been a rest month for me. I've got my eye on some game jams over the next few months that I'll enter, so if you like shorter and free-er works, keep an eye on here for what ends up happening there, or follow us on Bluesky where I'll be posting some of the assets and outcomes of the development process once it begins.
Thank you to everybody who's purchased Artificial Nexus and enjoyed it; it's always really fantastic to hear from people who have done so. If you haven't purchased the game, then please consider wishlisting it, and if you've played it, then please consider leaving a review - every bit makes a massive difference.
