Devlog - July 2025

Last month, I mentioned that I was taking a break from things after an intense year and a half of developing Artificial Nexus. This month has mostly been the same - I don’t want to suffer burnout from pushing myself on too many projects at once, and taking breaks will ensure that I still have the energy and motivation to continue future projects. That being said, there have been some things happening this month at Too Many Teeth:

  • The Many Deaths of Lily Kosen and Artificial Nexus now both have their demos available to play in-browser on itch.io. If for some reason you haven’t been able to download and play them, you can now give them a try, right in your browser!

  • Another thing that I should have taken care of ages ago has now been sorted out - The Many Deaths of Lily Kosen and Artificial Nexus now both have cloud saves implemented in Steam, so you can carry your progress across multiple computers.

  • At time of posting, the Steam Summer Sale is on, which means that you can grab The Many Deaths of Lily Kosen with a 40% discount, or Artificial Nexus with a 10% discount!

  • This is very, very early days, but I’ve begun the broad strokes of plotting and planning for the next big project. I’m not going to do any major announcements until there’s something to show, and I’m intentionally not devoting too much time to it at present, so don’t expect updates regarding it regularly in these monthly dev logs, but know that something else will come. (Just not any time soon).

Finally, I’m entering the O2A2 jam this month! For those who have never heard of it, it’s a short game jam focused on producing a visual novel with limited assets - 1,000 words, a single sprite, a single background, and so on. This will be a fun little challenge to help me flex my creative muscles, and which I’m looking forwards to entering. I’ve already got an idea for what the premise of the visual novel will be about, and I’m keen to get working on it once the jam starts. Anticipate next month’s dev log to mostly be discussing what I’ve done and how it turned out.

With all of that being said, thanks as always for reading these posts and staying up to date with what’s going on in the world of Too Many Teeth! I hope that your winter (or summer, if you’re one of those strange northern hemisphere-dwelling types) is going well so far, and that things are going well in your life! Peace!
